ICC Women's ODI Ranking: Mithali Raj became the world's number one female batsman, made a tremendous leap

India lost 2-1 in the three-match ODI series between the Indian women's cricket team and the England cricket team led by Mithali Raj, but during this entire series, the team's captain Mithali Raj's bat spoke fiercely. She scored half-centuries in all three ODIs against the England team and benefitted from this in the latest ICC Women's ODI Rankings. In this ranking released by the ICC, Mithali Raj has become the world's number one women's ODI batsman. Mithali Raj topped the ODI batsmen's rankings for the 8th time during her long career spanning 22 years.


In the three-match ODI series against England, Mithali scored 206 runs at an average of 103 and she was also the highest run-scorer in this ODI series. On the back of Mithali's brilliant innings, India got a spectacular victory in the third ODI. After her performance, she gained four places and reached the top. This time apart from Mithali, only Smriti Mandhana is among the top ten batsmen. Smriti Mandhana has lost one place in this ranking and has come to number seven. Apart from Mithali, Shefali Verma has jumped 49 places to reach 71st position.


Talking about the ranking of bowlers, there are two Indian bowlers in the top ten, in which Jhulan Goswami is at 5th position, while Poonam Yadav is at number 9. Australia's Jess Jonasson is at number one in the bowlers' rankings. Apart from this, Indian all-rounder, Deepti Sharma is in fifth place, while in the bowlers' list, all-rounder Deepti Sharma has improved one place to 12th position.
