KL Rahul made the record for the highest score among Indian players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but the captain of Kings XI Punjab said here on Thursday that he was not very confident about his batting before the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Rahul scored an unbeaten 132 to help Kings XI score 206 for three on being invited to bat first, and then RCB's team were all out for 109 in 17 overs to register a big win by 97 runs. Rahul, however, credited the victory to the entire team.
Rahul, who became the man of the match for his brilliant innings, said, "It was a total performance for the team, so I am happy." Actually, I was not confident about my batting. I had a talk with Maxi (Glenn Maxwell) yesterday and I said that I don't feel full control of my batting. He said that you are joking. You are hitting very well. "
