How many players came in the grip of Corona in IPL 2021, see the whole list from youth to veteran


This year, the 14th season of the Indian Premier League was launched amid the Corona crisis. It was expected that the tournament would be conducted successfully, just like last year. Corona made his way into the bio bubble only after 29 matches and several players were found to be infected one after the other. After this, on Tuesday, the BCCI decided to postpone the tournament with immediate effect.

The tournament was postponed after players from Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad were infected with Corona. Given below are the names of all those who were found positive before the IPL was postponed.

Amit Mishra- The last name that came up as Corona positive before the IPL was postponed on 4 May was Delhi Capitals spinner Amit Mishra.

Wriddhiman Saha- On Tuesday 4 May, Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha was found infected. Hyderabad team was supposed to play the match against Mumbai Indians in the evening.

Varun Chakraborty - Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun created a ruckus after being found corona infected. He was found infected on Monday morning and was with the rest of the players in the bio bubble.

Sandeep Warrier - Along with Varun, Kolkata player Sandeep was also reported to be infected with Corona.

Laxmipathy Balaji - Chennai Super Kings bowling coach L Balaji was also found corona positive on Monday. Only then did the Chennai team refuse to play the next match.

Nitish Rana - Kolkata-based batsman Nitish Rana was found infected before the start of IPL. Subsequently, he was found negative in the report and also played matches for the team.

Devdutt Padikkal- Royal Challengers Bangalore were found positive before the tournament started, due to which they did not get a chance to play in the opening match.

Daniel Symes - Another RCB player Daniel Symes was also found to be corona infected but later recovered after recovering.

Akshar Patel - Akshar Patel of Delhi Capitals all-rounder was found to be Corona positive before the tournament. Because of this, they did not get to play in the opening match of the tournament. He made a comeback to bowl a super over for Hyderabad against Hyderabad.
