Haider and Shafiq not included in Pakistan team for first ODI against Zimbabwe

The Pakistan team management did not give Hyder Ali and Abdullah Shafiq a place in the 15-man squad for the first ODI against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi. Vice-captain Shadab Khan is also out of the team due to fitness reasons. Senior batsman Mohammad Hafeez and young fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain have also failed to make a place in the team.

Babar Azam will captain the team for the first ODI series. "I want to start the innings with a win," he said. The Coronavirus test of both the teams has been done and the segregation has also been completed. Both teams practiced at the Rawalpindi Stadium on Thursday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board decided to hold three ODIs and three T20 matches in Rawalpindi due to 'smog' in Lahore. Matches will be played without spectators.
