England beat South Africa by five wickets at Newlands ground thanks to a brilliant half-century innings by Johnny Bairstow. Batting first, South Africa scored 179 for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
In response, England won 183 in 19.2 overs at the loss of five wickets. Johnny Bairstow played a stormy inning of 86 not out from 48 balls. In this innings he hit nine fours and four sixes. While all-rounder Ben Stokes also contributed an important 37 runs.
Earlier, Faf du Plessis contributed 58 runs for South Africa. While van der Dussan scored 37 and captain Quinton De Kock scored 30 runs. For England, fast bowler Sam Curren gave a great bowling performance. He took 3 wickets for 28 runs.
