Happy Birthday Dilip Vengsarkar Former captain of the Indian team and chairman of the committee of selectors, Dilip Vengsarkar is celebrating his 65th birthday today. He is Lord of Lords in terms of centuries as he has slammed three centuries on that historic ground.

Happy Birthday Dilip Vengsarkar: The most historic stadium in the world, if there is one, it is the Lord's ground in London, to which every big international cricketer will have some memory. Not everyone has a bat in the Lords and everyone's ball does not show feats, but there have been some maharishis whose bats have ignited a fire in the Lords. One such cricketer has been former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar.

Dilip Vengsarkar, former captain of the Indian team and chairman of the selectors' committee, is celebrating his 65th birthday today. If he is called Lord of Lord's Stadium in the matter of centuries, then it will not be wrong, because as a guest cricketer in Test cricket, he has set a big record at Lord's Stadium in London. Dilip Vengsarkar has scored three centuries at Lord's, the most by any guest cricketer at Lord's.

Vengsarkar has played 116 Test matches in which he has scored 17 centuries, but the surprising thing is that despite playing 129 ODIs, he has been able to cross the magical figure of three points just once. Despite playing 100 or more ODIs as a batsman, it seems against talent to score just one century. There will be very few cricketers who, despite playing so many matches, have been able to score just one century.

In the late 70s and early 80s, Dilip Vengsarkar was a strong batsman. Dilip Vengsarkar made his debut in 1976 and since then he was active in international cricket until 1992. He was also part of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian team. He also batted well in that tournament. In 1975, he hit a strong century against the Rest of India in the Irani Trophy for Mumbai.

Dilip Vengsarkar has scored 6868 runs unbeaten 19 times in 185 innings of 116 Tests. His highest score is 166 runs in Test cricket. He has scored 17 centuries and 35 half-centuries. He has hit 560 fours and 17 sixes. At the same time, he has scored 3508 runs in 120 innings of 129 ODIs, in which he has scored a century and 23 half-centuries. Even after scoring such a half-century, just one century does not suit his talent.
