Former India great batsman Sunil Gavaskar has made a special identity in world cricket on the strength of his bat. He is counted among the great cricketers of the world.

Today we are going to tell you an anecdote related to Sunil Gavaskar which you hardly know about. Sunil Gavaskar has also mentioned it in his autobiography. In this, he wrote that I would never have become a cricketer nor would I have written this book, had it not been for my bright-eyed uncle Narayan Masurkar in my life.

Gavaskar told in it that when I was born, Narayan Masurkar saw a birthmark on my ear in the hospital. The very next day he again came to the hospital and he could not find that mark on the ear of the child the uncle took in his lap.

After this, I was searched in the whole hospital, then I found him sleeping near the fisherman's wife. He told that the nurse had accidentally put him near the fisherman's wife. Gavaskar said that if uncle had not noticed that day, I might have been a fisherman today. Significantly, Sunil Gavaskar has achieved many big achievements in international cricket.
