Akash Chopra, the former opener batsman, and commentator of the Indian cricket team praised India's middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav. He termed the sharp performance of this batsman as pleasant for India and said that the Indian think tank should think about giving Suryakumar Yadav a place in Team India's playing XI for the T20 World Cup 2021. Suryakumar Yadav had scored 31*, 53, 40 runs in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, while he scored a half-century in the first T20 match. After that, he could not play two other T20 matches.
Aakash Chopra said that Suryakumar Yadav performed brilliantly and played four out of six matches before going into isolation in Sri Lanka. His best part is that he bats with utmost confidence and dominates the bowlers. Although Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey are the contenders for number four in Team India, Suryakumar Yadav is looking ahead. Aakash Chopra said that Suryakumar's test did not come positive which is a very good thing as he has to go to England to join the Indian Test team.
Talking about Suryakumar Yadav, Aakash Chopra further said that if Suryakumar performs well in IPL 2021 Part Two, then he should be kept in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup. Due to the Kovid epidemic, there will be a big team selection for the T20 World Cup, and Suryakumar Yadav will be seen in it, but I believe that he should get a place in the playing XI in this World Cup match. The way he is playing and scoring runs with excellent form will prove beneficial for India.
