Keoladeo National Park (Keoladeo Ghana National Park) located in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan is famous in the world due to rare and endangered species of birds. Birds from many countries come to Keoladeo National Park. Siberian cranes come here during the winter season.
230 species of birds have made their home in Keoladeo Ghana National Park. There is always a gathering of tourists here. It was also declared a World Heritage Site in 1985 after being declared a protected bird sanctuary in the year 1971.
According to reports, this park, popularly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, was constructed 250 years ago. The park was named after the Keoladeo Shiva temple.
In the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Siberian cranes, Ghomra, northern Shah Chakwa, waterfowl, red duck, etc., are found in many endangered species.
