Maybe you also believe some of the myths related to this to be true. So today in this article, we are telling you about some myths related to lipstick and their truth, so that there is no confusion in your mind-
Myth 1- Lipstick will make lips dark
Truth-some lipsticks can cause staining on your lips, but if you remove them well every day, this should not be a problem. Black lips may be genetic or may be caused by other factors, such as smoking, sun damage, non-exfoliation, non-moisturizing of lips, etc.
Myth 2- Lipstick makes your lips dry.
Truth- It mainly depends on the type of your lipstick. Most liquid matte lipsticks make your lips dry after applying. But if you apply lipstick properly then it will not be a problem. For example, applying a lip balm after exfoliating the lips before applying the lipstick, creates a barrier between the lipstick and the lips and does not dry the lips.
Myth 3 - Red lipstick only looks good on fair skin.
Truth- It is generally believed that red lipstick only looks good on fair skin while this is completely a myth. Whatever your skin tone, but red lips enhance your look. Many shades of red lipstick are available in the market and hence you must choose the red lipstick shade keeping in mind your skin tone. For example, if your skin tone is dusky, then you should apply deep red lipstick.
Myth 4- Always line your lips before applying lipstick
Truth- It is generally believed that before applying lipstick, apply the liner on your lips. It gives more definition to your lips. But usually, it happens that if you apply the lip liner first then when it removes the lip color from the lips, then it shows the rings around the lips which are very ugly to see. So apply your lipstick first and then use your liner to define the outer rim of your lips. On the other hand, if you are using a lip liner first, then do not just outline it on the lips, but after that, fill it with a lip liner. Then apply lipstick. In such a situation, even when the lipstick is removed, the rings will not be seen.
