Every living being around us has its own characteristics. Rabbit is also one of them. We all know that rabbit is a beautiful and adorable animal found on earth. This creature is found in different colors and forms in different places. You will be surprised to know that eating your own feces by rabbits is a very important process for better health. Rabbit is an animal whose digestive system is not well developed. This creature spends most of its life eating grass, due to which many essential nutrients come out of the rabbit's body without being digested. In such a situation, rabbits digest more and more nutrients by eating them again. The condition of rabbits is similar to that of most quadrupedal animals like cows and buffaloes that digest their food by bringing it back into the mouth.

There are two types of feces of rabbits, the first liquid and the second hard. Liquid stools, called cecotropes, are rich in nutrients. Rabbits eat it and digest the nutrients and then pass hard stools.

Seikotrope, ie liquid feces of rabbits, contains twice the nutrients as hard feces. It contains Vitamin K and Vitamin B12. If rabbits do not eat cecotropes, most of the nutrients will go out of their bodies undigested.

Actually, rabbits are herbivorous animals, which eat only vegetables or grass. In such a situation, fiber is very important for their body. Rabbit is such an organism, whose digestive system works very fast at night and throws out a lot of food without digesting it. Because of this, secotrope ie liquid stools are excreted only at night, and at the same time, they also eat it. They digest the liquid stool completely and take it out like hard stool.

The rabbit is not the only animal in the animal world that eats its own feces. Such a tendency is found in herbivorous animals such as small rats and guinea pigs. By the way, there are many such creatures on earth, which also eat the feces of others. Such animals are very beneficial for the environment.
