How many things affect our face every day. Too much sunlight, pollution, stress, diet problems, dullness due to illness, etc. affect the skin, and all these together can spoil the texture of our skin. Acne, hyperpigmentation, age spots, etc., if not treated on time, will cause a lot of damage to your skin and make it dull. Most people feel that it is always okay to talk to a doctor about these three problems, but along with the advice of the doctor, you will also have to make some changes in your skincare routine.
To make acne-prone and oily skin smooth, you have to do some hard work and follow your skincare routine only with the advice of experts. Even a single mistake with such super sensitive skin can lead to skin infections.
We spoke to Miss Pooja Nagdev, Founder, Aroma Therapist, and Cosmetologist, INATUR, to find out what tips you might need to follow to smooth out acne-prone rough skin. He says that we always forget some basic requirements of the skincare routine, due to which such problems increase in the skin.
There are five basic types of skin-
Every skin type is different and their needs are also different. We can divide the skin into these five parts-
Those with oily skin should never forget this important step-
Pooja says that when it comes to skin cleansing, it is necessary to follow three steps and people often follow only two steps. After cleansing the skin, we use toner, but people with oily skin forget its moisturizing, due to which the pores remain open and dirt gets filled back in them. If you forget this important step, then it will prove to be more harmful.
Once the skin has been cleaned with a sulfate-free cleanser, a toner should be used in it and after that, it is very important to moisturize it with a skin serum or gel-based cream to maintain the pH balance of the skin. Excess oil, skin irritation, dry skin problems, skin breakouts, etc. occur because we make a mistake in recognizing our skin.
How is acne formed in the skin?
Now it is also important for you to know that how the problem of acne starts in the skin and how it increases so much. Oil and sebum are also present in one layer of the skin, which comes out of the oil glands of the skin. It is a kind of protective layer that keeps the skin moisturized and does not cause different types of skin infections. If this oil and sebum are not cleaned properly and the pH balance of the skin gets disturbed, then acne starts to occur. These are a mixture of sebum, oil, and dirt which can increase due to infection. They can also be soft and cystic where the pimple hardens under the surface of the skin. The pain is also very high in this and there may also be pus.
To prevent this, it is very important to follow your skincare routine properly.
Always follow these tips to prevent acne-
If your skin is acne-prone, then according to Pooja, you have to follow all the steps given below.
Wash your skin at least twice a day-
Many people have this habit that they either do not wash their face at all or they wash excessively and both these things are wrong. Cleansing should be the first step of your skincare routine and any skin type should wash the face twice a day. If you have acne-prone skin then this is a must. With this, all the things like pollution particles, oil, soil, and dust, etc. are cleaned from the skin. If it is not cleaned then your pores will get blocked and it will prove to be harmful to your skin.
Do not touch your face again and again and do not rub the acne at all-
Washing the face and cleaning it is a different thing, but if you want to avoid scarring on the face, then do not touch the acne at all because it can be very heavy. The problem of acne can get worse if you touch it again and again. If you try to break the acne, then the problem of scarring on the skin increases even more.
While cleaning the acne-prone skin, keep these things in mind-
Whenever it comes to clearing acne-prone skin, some things should always be kept in mind like-
- What you do after washing your face greatly affects your skin texture.
- The skin also needs mild exfoliation, but use an acne special exfoliator for this purpose.
- After this, use a toner to tone the skin.
- Skin always needs light moisturization after toner, so don't forget this step.
- You can also use face mist or serum as a toner.
- Do not apply too thick moisturizer on acne-prone skin.
It is also important to take care of the diet-
Whether you are following any kind of skincare routine, if your diet is not right then its effect on the skin will also be visible directly. If your diet is bad, then no matter how hard you try, the skin may not be clear, so keep your diet balanced. It mile elected in iron, potassium, protein, vitamin C includes all. People with acne-prone skin can also include fish in their diet.
If the problem of your acne has increased a lot and it cannot be cured in any way, then you must consult a doctor. Make sure to show your sensitive skin to the doctor once.
