The basil plant is considered to be the most divine and sacred plant. It is considered an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi. In the Skanda Purana, Hari Bhakti Vilas states, "Just touching the plant of Tulasi makes a person pure." It is believed that the sin of all types of sinners gets dusted by touching Tulsi. Not only is it religiously significant, but it is considered a very important source of many medicinal properties. This plant is considered auspicious for anything you do in your life and should be in every household.

It is very important to keep in mind the Vastu rules before planting a basil plant. This plant is capable of bringing positivity to the house and eliminating all unnecessary incidents from the lives of the people living in that house.

* The plant should be kept where you get proper sunlight and water it well. If this plant is not taken care of, then negative effects can also occur.

* We should also be careful about the plants that need to be planted around the divine basil. It is considered a female plant and hence, only flowering plants can be placed close to the tree. Cactus and prickly plants should not be placed next to it.

* It plays an important role in curing any Vastu defects in the house. It brings positivity by eliminating negative vibes. So you can plant a tree at the place where Vastu Dosha is.

* It should be installed in the north or north-east direction of the balcony or window. Tulsi can also be grown in front of the house or the backyard.

* It should be planted in a place where there is no waste. The place where this plant is planted should be very clean and hygienic and the place should be cleaned regularly. It is believed that the existence of external dust in and around the plant may reduce its good effects.
