Coronavirus Vaccine: Big News on Corona Vaccine, Serum Institute Prepares 40 Million Doses of Vaccine

So far, more than 51 million people worldwide have been infected with the coronavirus, while about 1.3 million people have died. Although the process of making a vaccine to deal with it is going on very fast, till now it is not completely clear when the vaccine will be finally found and when the coronavirus will be eliminated from the world. However, in the meantime, the Serum Institute of India has said that it has prepared four crore doses of the corona vaccine. The vaccine has been developed by Oxford University and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and has been partnered by the Serum Institute to produce it.

However, the Serum Institute of India has not yet clarified whether the four crore vaccines produced by it will be used in India or supplied globally. Let us tell you that the Phase III trial of the Oxford vaccine is currently going on in India. It will be launched in India under the name 'Kovishield'.

Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawala recently said that he hoped a safe and effective vaccine could be launched early next year. He had said that if the vaccine is successful in testing and gets approval from the regulatory body, then the vaccine may come in January next year.

Regarding the price of the Corona vaccine, Adar Poonawala said that the vaccine should be made available at an affordable rate. They have assured that the price of the Kovishield vaccine will be lower than other vaccines.

In addition to the Oxford vaccine, the Serum Institute will also begin production of the Novavax vaccine. However, before that, the third phase of Novavax will be tested in India, for which the Serum Institute will soon get approval from the regulator.
