Bakrid 2021 special: Such a recipe of 'Jarda Pulao' that people will keep licking their fingers after eating

Material :

Basmati rice - 1 cup, water - 2 cups, turmeric - 1/2 tsp, ghee - 3 tsp, cinnamon - 1 piece, black cardamom - 1, clove - 4, dry coconut cut into thin slices - handful, raisins - 10-15, Dates - 7-8, Almonds - a handful, Cashews - a handful, Pistachios - a handful, Milk - 1 cup, Saffron - a pinch, Sugar - 1 cup, Rosewater - 2 tsp, Kewra water - 1 tsp

Method :

Soak the rice for 30 minutes.

Boil two cups of water and add 1/2 tsp turmeric to it. Remove the rice from the water and put it in this boiling water. Let it cook on medium heat. When the rice is cooked up to 80%, take it off the flame and keep it aside after draining the water.

Now heat ghee in a pan. Add all the whole spices and dry coconut pieces to it.

After two minutes add all the dry fruits to it. Fry it for a minute. Keep the flame low or else it will burn.

Now add milk and saffron to it.

After this added sugar, rose water, kewra water and mix it well.

Now it is the turn to put rice in it.

Cover the pot and cook till the rice is completely cooked. Which will take at least 5-7 minutes.

Switch off the gas and serve hot.
