The tension between two community members increased when a Pashtun youth died after mob lynching in Quetta, Pakistan

After the killing of a Pashtun youth in the Quetta province of Pakistan, tensions between two communities arose. The agitation on Sunday led to protests in the case of the mob beating up the youth and badly injuring two of his friends. The victim belonged to the Pashtun community while the Shia Hazara community is accused of assault.


After this whole incident, the situation in Quetta, capital of Balochistan province, remained on Sunday and was partially closed. According to the news, Bilal Khan, a young man present at a barbershop in Hazara city, was beaten to death by the mob. After this, the video of this incident went viral on social media after which there were tensions between Pashtun and Shia Hazara community.


Police have arrested 12 people in this case. Some people said that the money transaction caused controversy while others alleged that the three Pashtun youths were making videos of Hazara community women by phone. In the video of the incident, it is seen that three youths are being beaten by falling semi to the ground and people are shouting from the shop. During this time, the police also let the attackers escape easily.


Thousands of people took to the streets in Quetta demanding the arrest of the culprits and action on the police. It is said that in the past there have been situations of tension between the two communities.
