Success: Scientists find 'new planet', clues of life like Earth being found here

Astronomers have discovered a new planet near the Earth's solar system, being called the Super-Earth Exoplanet. The surface temperature of this new planet is slightly cooler than Venus, the planet closest to Earth. Apart from Earth, studying the atmosphere of this super-Earth planet is considered a golden opportunity for scientists who are looking for life in the universe.

Explain that exoplanets are planets that are outside the Earth's solar system. Researchers at Germany's Max Planck Institute of Astronomy point out that the Giles 486B itself is not a promising candidate for life presence. This is because it is hot and dry.

Lava rivers are likely to flow on the surface of the planet, but their proximity to the Earth and their physical characteristics make it an ideal candidate for the study of the atmosphere. Scientists said that this new planet can be studied with the next generation of telescopes that work from both Earth and space.

Explain that NASA is going to launch the James Webb Space Telescope this year. With the help of this telescope, scientists can extract the information necessary to understand the environments of other exoplanets. These include planets where life is likely to exist. Planetary scientist Trifon Trifonov, the lead author of this research, published in the science journal Science, says that this exoplanet must have the correct physical and orbit-related configuration to investigate the environment.

What is Super-Earth?

Super-Earth is an exoplanet that is deeper than our Earth but is much less intense than Neptune and Uranus. The Giles 486b cube is 2.8 times larger than the Earth and is only 26.3 light-years away from us. Scientist Trifonov says that the Gliese 486B cannot be worth living. He said that this planet is not fit to live like the Earth.
