The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has come on the backfoot in view of the increasing impact of the delta variant of the coronavirus in the US. Masks have returned to America after two months.
At the same time, the CDC has said that if people who have been vaccinated have any symptoms of infection or have come in contact with someone infected, then they will also have to get tested for corona.
CDC Director Dr. Rochelle P. Valensky has said that the Delta variant is different from the older variant. People who have got both doses of the vaccine are also falling prey to it. Keeping this in mind, people who have been vaccinated have also been appealed that if they have symptoms of corona or have come in contact with any infected, then they must get themselves tested.
Earlier, the CDC said that people who have been vaccinated do not need to be tested. Amidst the rapid pace of infection, the CDC has appealed to everyone to wear a mask. Especially in closed and public places because there is a high risk of spreading infection from such places.
Dr. Valensky says that the trial has shown that people who have taken both doses of the vaccine are vulnerable to the delta variant, then they can have a large viral load inside them, which can infect other people.
Get the test done in four to five days...
Dr. Valensky says that the test will have to be done within four to five days after symptoms appear or after coming in contact with the infected. Be careful if the report comes negative. If the report is positive, then stay isolated at home for at least ten days. To prevent the spread of infection, people who have come in contact with and know them should also be asked to get tested or tell about their report.
Make children wear masks too
The CDC says that the virus is also making children its victims. In view of this, children below the age of twelve will also have to wear a mask. Children have to be more careful in public places and at school. Parents have to be more careful about the health of children who have not been vaccinated. In children, there is a risk of long-term health problems due to infection.
