Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has once again ordered the construction of a statue of Rama and propagating it as the birthplace of Lord Rama, claiming to be the real Ayodhya in Nepal. Talking on the phone to local authorities in Chitwan, Oli said that all the evidence proves that Lord Rama was born in Ayodhyapuri, Nepal, and not in India. He has also ordered excavation to gather evidence. Oli has made this claim at a time when PM Narendra Modi has recently done Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
According to the National News Committee, the official news agency of Nepal, Prime Minister Oli has called and directed the local people's representatives of Thori and Madi to Kathmandu to make all necessary preparations to build a grand temple on Lord Sri Ram's birthplace.
The Prime Minister has asked to change the name of Madi municipality located near Thori to Ayodhyapuri. It is also said to acquire Ayodhya by acquiring places around it, build a grand Ram temple at the birthplace of Rama and install a large statue of Rama-Sita and Lakshmana. According to the National News Committee, Prime Minister Oli has said that in this Dussehra, while doing Bhoomi Pujan on the occasion of Ramnavami, he has said to start the work of temple construction and after two years to unveil the idol on Ramnavmi again.
