Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire without any provocation, giving evidence of their nefarious antics in the Naugam sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Two soldiers were martyred in this and four were injured.
Shortly before this, Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement by firing heavily in forwarding areas near the Line of Control in Poonch district and firing mortar shells, in which an army soldier was killed and another was injured.
Giving details of ceasefire violations in Poonch district, a defense spokesman said that the Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire agreement in Mankot and Krishna Valley sectors by firing from small arms and firing mortar shells along the Line of Control.
He said that the Indian Army also gave a befitting reply. The spokesman said that Lance Naik Karnail Singh died in cross-border firing.
