Scientists at the University of Cambridge University have prepared an artificial lung in the lab from an adult's stem cell to find out how the coronavirus infects human cells. Scientists hope that this new research will help in making effective medicines against the virus. Also, it will be possible to know why some people are affected the most due to infection.
Scientists study lung prepared from stem cells in the lab
According to Duke University researcher and biologist Doctor Purushottam Rao Tata, the artificial lungs were infected with the virus. Then he started increasing his number and after 6 hours, he increased his range from most cells. 48 hours later, the immunity of the body started fighting the virus. After 6 hours of infection, lung cells started dying and their tissues also started getting damaged.
