Corona havoc in Pakistan, order to close educational institutions again


All educational institutions have been ordered to be closed again from November 26 to January 10 after Corona cases in Pakistan pick up. Significantly, the school colleges were opened a few days before two months. So far, 3.7 lakh people in the country have fallen victim to coronavirus infection and 7,700 patients have lost their lives with corona.

This decision was taken at a meeting of education ministers of Pakistan. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood presided over the meeting of Education Ministers of the four provinces and representatives of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Mehmood said that under the decision, all schools, colleges, and universities will continue to read through online mediums and all educational institutions will be closed from 26 November to 24 December.

He said that the winter holidays would be from 25 December to 10 January. The institute will open on 11 January. But in the first week of January, a meeting will be held to review the situation. Educational institutions that were closed at the beginning of the epidemic were opened six months later on 15 September. The minister said that the examinations have been canceled and will be held after the institute opens in January. He said that the entrance examinations would be held on time.
