Chinese opposition in Nepal, flashlight rally organized against interference

While China is trying its best to loosen its grip on Nepal, there is a lot of resentment among the people against the interference in the internal affairs of the country. Hundreds of protesters, led by Pushpakmal Dahal Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal, leaders of the other faction of the ruling party, took out a torch rally on Tuesday night to vent their anger against China.

17 protesters arrested from Rashtrapati Bhavan going towards Chinese Embassy

The protesters marched from the Rashtrapati Bhavan with Chinese placards and torches towards the Chinese embassy. During this time he was also shouting slogans against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Similar protests have been taking place in other parts of the country since the dissolution of the Nepali parliament. The 17 protesters who took out a torch rally against China were arrested on Tuesday night.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Oli is considered a supporter of China, but he also shocked China by dissolving the parliament. In a hurry, China sent a four-member delegation led by Guo Yezhou earlier this week to China.

The party tried to fix the matter by talking to the top leaders of the ruling party, but the Chinese rapture increased resentment among Nepali citizens and they have taken to the streets due to its interference in Nepal's political affairs.
