It has been started on Sunday morning with all the necessary facilities for the treatment of infected patients. The Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Zahid Malek told IANS, 'Bangladesh is experiencing a second wave of an epidemic like other countries in the world and almost all the hospitals in the country are full of Kovid-19 patients. The number of infections and deaths in the country is steadily increasing.
He said that it is necessary to expand health facilities to treat patients. The government has set up Dhaka North City Corporation Hospital with all modern equipment to protect the lives of corona virus-positive patients. The lockdown was imposed for a week from 5 April to prevent a second wave of the pandemic in Bangladesh, which has since been extended to 21 April. However, the Kovid-19 National Technical Advisory Committee recommends extending the strict lockdown by one more week given increasing cases.
