America: Kamala Harris said - I am the first woman to reach this position but not the last


The election results for the 46th President of the US have been revealed. Joseph R. Biden of the Democratic Party ie Joe Biden has been elected as the next President of the US and Kamala Harris Vice President of Indian origin. Harris announced on Saturday that her victory was only a start for women as she became the first woman to hold the position in American history.

Harris, addressing a victory rally in Delaware, said, 'Of course I am the first woman to reach this position, I will not be the last. Every little girl watching us tonight is seeing that this is a country of possibility. ' He said that American citizens have started a new day.

Beginning of a new day for America

Addressing the country, Kamala Harris, who was elected to the post of Vice President, said, "There is a struggle, sacrifice but there are joy and progress in the defense of our democracy." Because we have the power to create a better future.

"When our democracy was at the ballot in this election, with the spirit of America at stake and the world watching, you (American citizens) started a new day for America," Harris said.

He said I am thankful to the woman most responsible for my presence today, my mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris. When she came here from India at the age of 19, she might not have imagined the moment. But she believed so deeply in America where such a moment is possible.

Harris said, "I am thinking about them and women, black women, Asian, white, Latin, Native American women, who have paved the way for tonight in the history of our country."
