America: Bill Gates becomes the largest farmer, bought more than two lakh land in 18 states


Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft in the US and the fourth richest person in the world, has become the largest farmer. They have purchased a large amount of cultivable land. Gates has become the owner of 42 thousand acres in 18 states. After buying so much land, he has become the largest owner of land in America.

According to a report, a smart city will be built on this land. Apart from this, Gates plans to grow crops here on a large scale. Gates has become the owner of a total of 2,68,984 acres. Gates, 65 years old, has purchased 69 thousand acres in Louisiana, about 48 thousand acres in Arkansas, 25 thousand acres in Arizona, USA.

Gates purchased this land directly, as well as through the personal investment entity Cascade Investment. At the same time, according to media reports, he plans to build a smart city in Arizona. Earlier in 2018, Gates had purchased 16,000 acres in his home state of Washington.

Country will benefit

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced in 2008 that their foundation would help smallholder farmers in Africa and other developing countries in the agricultural sector. Along with this, Rs 2238 crore was given to help his income. Experts believe that if Bill Gates comes into the field of agriculture, it will greatly help sustainable farming in America.
