Thousands of hands will be washed together on Thursday on the occasion of World Hand Washing Day. District Magistrate Bhupendra S. Chaudhary has issued guidelines to all departments regarding this. On the theme of Clean Hand for All, from 10 am to 12 am in all government departments, officers and employees will collectively hand over the message of cleanliness by adhering to social distancing.
The District Magistrate has directed all the offices of the Health Department and all the departments including Hospital, School, Anganwadi Center, Panchayati Raj Department to compulsorily participate in the Hand Washing Day campaign. The District Magistrate has instructed to conduct the campaign extensively on the district, block, and gram panchayats so that people can be made aware of the importance of handwashing.
According to the schedule, between 10 am and 12 am, groups of people will wash their hands with soap, adhering to social distancing with masks. In the campaign, all office, institute, hospital officials, and workers and community members will demo the process of handwashing in the group at 10 am at the same time, in which participation of all will be required.
Under the Dastak program, members of ANM, ASHA, Anganwadi, school teachers, and SHGs will group 10 houses in communities and give demos. Teaching the main 6 steps of washing hands with soap, Kovid-19 during the epidemic transition, before meals, after touching the nose, mouth, and eyes, after coughing and sneezing, after defecation, and after using the toilet Explain the importance of washing. Instructions have been given to make the washbasin and hand washing station of each labor room health center functional with elbow-operated taps and soap.
District Magistrate Choudhary has given instructions that the public should be made aware by organizing hand-hygiene training, display of hand wash, poster and essay competition related to cleanliness, debate competition, etc.
