Sea Plane: The country's first seaplane service will be launched between the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad and the Statue of Unity located in the Narmada district.
Kochi. The 19-seater seaplane used for flight in the first service of its kind between the Statue of Unity of Sabarmati Riverfront and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat (Gujarat) Reached here from the Maldives. The sea-going aircraft reached here on its way to Ahmedabad and landed safely in the Venduruthi Channel. The country's first seaplane service will be launched between the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad and the Statue of Unity located in the Narmada district.

Union Shipping Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told 'PTI-Bhasha' that if everything goes according to plan then the service can be started on 31 October. The Spicejet company has leased a Twin Otter 300 Seaplane, in which 12 passengers can fly at a time. A defense spokesman said, "The Navy jetty was fueled for further travel in the seaplane." Representatives of SpiceJet, Indian Navy, Cochin International Airport Limited, and District Administration were present during this time.
