Unlock 2: What is not allowed from July 1; Know here in simple language


The center on Monday released new guidelines for the next phase of unlocking. The new guidelines will be effective from Wednesday, July 1 and will be released by the end of the month. Lockdown at Containment Jones will continue until July 31. The government prohibited the movement of persons from 10 am to 5 am and said that no more than five people would be allowed to enter a shop.

As per the guidelines, schools and colleges will remain closed till 31 July. Metro services, cinema halls, gyms, swimming pools, theaters, bars, social and religious ceremonies are also banned.

In areas outside the Containment Zone, all activities except the following will be permitted:

(i) Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutes will remain closed till 3 July. 2020. Online / distance education will be allowed and encouraged.

Training institutes of the central and state governments will be allowed to function from July 15, 2020, for which the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

(ii) Air travel of passengers, except as permitted by MHA.

(iii) Metro Rail will not run

(iv) Cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, amusement parks, theaters, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will not open.

(v) Social / political / sports / entertainment / educational / cultural / religious work is not allowed.

A further date may be issued to resume the above activities.

SOPs will be issued to ensure social disturbances and prevent the spread of COVID-l9.

COVID-19 National Instructions for Management

The national directive for COVlD-l9 management, as specified in Annex I, will be followed throughout the country.

Lockdown is limited to container areas

(i) Lockdown will continue in the Containment Zone till 31 July 2020.

(ii) The lockdown in the container zones will continue to be strictly enforced till 31 July 2020. Considering the proliferation of COVID-19 by the State / UT Governments, the Containment Zone needs to be carefully demarcated. Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW). Within the construction zone, strict perimeter control will be maintained and only necessary activities will be permitted.

(iii) In Containment Zone, strict perimeter will be controlled and only necessary activities will be allowed.

(iii) The MOHFW will oversee the implementation of appropriate delimitation and containment measures of containment zones.

States have to decide on activities outside the Containment Zone

Depending on their assessment of the situation, states and union territories may prohibit certain activities outside the Containment Zone, or may impose such restrictions when deemed necessary.

Use of health bridge

(i) The healing bridge enables early identification of potential risk of infection, and thus acts as a shield for individuals and the community.

(ii) In order to ensure safety in offices and workplaces, employers should ensure on the basis of best efforts that sanitary bridges are installed by all employees by compatible mobile phones.

(iii) District officials can advise individuals to install the Arogya Setu application on the relevant mobile phone and regularly update their health slam on the app. This will facilitate timely provision of medical attention to those individuals who are at risk.
