Union Cabinet approves India-Israel agreement on health and medicine

The Union Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister discussed the returning economy. During this time, four agreements were approved including hydropower projects in Himachal Pradesh. These include agreements with Israel on healthcare and medicine.


According to the statement issued by the cabinet, the agreement also includes the training and exchange of doctors and other health professionals between the two countries.

Apart from this, there is also the matter of sharing information on regulation regarding medicine, medical devices, and cosmetics. Apart from this, an agreement has also been approved between India and the UK on the regulation of health equipment.


Under this, an agreement has been signed between the UK Drug and Health Products Regulatory Agency (UK MHRA) and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) of India.


Green flag cooperation with Spain in astronomy

The cabinet approved scientific and technical cooperation between India and Spain on astronomy. An agreement has been reached between the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) Bangalore and The Instituto de Astrophysica de Canarias (IAC). This agreement will help in new scientific results, new technology, training, and capacity building.
