Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed the Labor Department to run a special campaign from July 15 to August 15 for the registration of construction laborers in Rajasthan.
CM Gehlot tweeted that the Labor Department will run a special campaign from July 15 to August 15 for the registration of construction workers in the state, so that the workers can be benefited from various welfare schemes of the central and state governments. Instructions have been issued for this.
In a special meeting held with the VC to discuss the draft of the labor codes proposed by the Central Government, he directed that during the campaign for the registration of construction workers, the officers of the Labor Department would visit the construction sites, the gathering places of the workers (Chhakti) on- Register on the spot.
With this, more and more construction workers will be able to take advantage of the schemes run under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCW).
The pending applications related to various schemes with the BOCW on behalf of the families of construction laborers should be disposed of at the earliest.
