The high court should take a decision itself on virtual proceedings: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court said on Monday that the High Court should decide on continuing the virtual proceedings. A bench of CJI SA Bobde, Justice DY Chandrachud, and Justice L Nageswara Rao said that the hearing through video conferencing was extremely successful in bringing justice to the public during the Corona epidemic. We continue with our earlier instructions in this regard.

However, it empowers the High Court to decide on its own to continue the virtual proceedings. Further, the Attorney General said that KK Venugopal referred to live streaming in Madras High Court, the issue will be considered later.
