Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the establishment of a technology park in the Mehsana district. It will cost Rs 1,000 crore.
ABAJ-Qthree Techpark will be a modern park with the manufacturing of LED televisions and air conditioners. It is stated in the release of the company that installed the technology park. It said that this park is being established under the Central Government's Self-Reliant India Campaign and Make in India initiative.
"I welcome ABAJ-Quthree Techpark in Mehsana," the release quoted Rupani as saying. The preparation of this world-class facility will help the country to get a place in the world map with the potential to become the world's largest center of manufacturing electronics. ''
The technology park will be spread over an area of 13 acres and it is estimated to have an investment of Rs.1,000 crore over a period of three years. The park will use robotic technology to meet the demand of 2.5 million LED televisions and 6 lakh air conditioners annually. It will also have a research and development unit. The technology park will provide employment opportunities to 4,500 people.
