Tamil Nadu: Police arrested Udayanidhi, son of DMK President Stalin

On Saturday, police arrested Udayanidhi Stalin, son of DMK President MK Stalin and secretary of the party's youth wing, on a 75-day party campaign ahead of next year's assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

Stalin was arrested on the second day of the campaign in Nagapattinam in Akkaraipettai for violating guidelines in view of the corona epidemic.

Earlier in the day, Stalin traveled by sea with former state ministers KN Nehru, U Mathivanan, MRK Panneerselvam and local fishermen. After returning to the coast, the police team led by the district's ASP arrested Stalin for carrying out a campaign without permission and for not following the social distancing rule.
