Sudarshan TV's program 'Bindas Bol' violated rules, hearing of case in Supreme Court today


The government said in the Supreme Court on Wednesday that the Sudarshan TV channel had allegedly violated the program code through four episodes of its "Bindaas Bol" program, based on the infiltration of Muslims in the bureaucracy, and strict action on the channel to do so in future Has been warned of.

In an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has submitted its order passed on November 4. The order was issued while taking action in connection with the show-cause notice issued to the channel on the disputed program.

The affidavit stated that 'taking cognizance of the oral and written set up offered by the channel and the IMC's suggestions, the Ministry opines that although freedom of expression is a fundamental right, the contents of the program were being shown. The channel is believed to have violated the rules to show the program with various audiovisual content. The ministry found that he was not good, was abusive, and encouraged communal views.

On Thursday, a bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud will hear the petitions opposing Sudarshan TV's Bindass Bol program.
