The railway administration has decided to cancel some trains and change the route of some due to the ongoing peasant movement in Punjab. A spokesman of the Northeast Railway said on Tuesday that the 055211 Darbhanga-Amritsar special train running from Darbhanga on November 11 and the 055212 Amritsar-Darbhanga special train running from Amritsar on November 13 will remain canceled.
He informed that 04674 Amritsar-Jayanagar special train running from Amritsar on November 12 will be run from Ambala and this train will remain canceled between Amritsar-Ambala. Apart from this, it has been decided to move the Intercity Express special train between Gorakhpur-Aishbagh from November 13 till further orders.
The spokesman said that the train 050750 Aishbagh-Gorakhpur Intercity-Express special train departed from Aishbagh at 16.25 hrs, leaving Badshahnagar, Barabanki, Gonda, Balrampur, Tulsipur, Pachpadwa, Badhni, Shorathgarh, Naugarh, and Anandnagar at 22.37 hrs and reached Gorakhpur at 23.55 hrs.
Similarly, train number 05069 Gorakhpur-Aishbagh Intercity-Express special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 03.45 am and arrive at Eshbagh via the same stations at 10:30 pm. A total of 17 coaches will be fitted in the train, including two generators cum luggage vehicles, 07 in a second class chair, 04 in ordinary second class, 02 in air-conditioned third class, and 0 in air-conditioned chair car.
