Residents of border villages play a key role in maintaining the security of the country: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday that civilians living near the borders play a major role in maintaining the security of the country, along with security forces. The Home Minister made this statement during the address at an event called Vikasotsav 2020 held in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

Shah said that the aim of this development festival is to provide facilities to the residents of our border villages, which are available in other inner villages. The citizens of the border villages play a major role in maintaining security with our defense forces. The Home Minister said that when I came to Bhuj after the earthquake in 2001, it was in shambles.

All the residential places were leveled, now malls and buildings have been built in large numbers there. This development is proof of the assurance of the people of Bhuj. During his visit, Shah interacted with the village princes of the three border districts of Kutch, Banaskantha, and Patan of the Rann of Kutch.
