Rang mein Bhang: 400 people called in mehndi, Case against groom's father and tent owner


A case has been registered against the groom's father and the tent house owner for organizing the mehndi ceremony in violation of Kovid guidelines in the Mangolpuri area. The police have registered a case under violation of the government order and the Epidemic Diseases Act. Around 400 people were present at the ceremony. police are investigating the case.

SI Satish Kumar, who was stationed at Mangolpuri police station on Friday night, was patrolling along with other policemen. They arrived in a giant tent on Pitampura Road No-42 with Jagdamba Tent House written on it. On the occasion, the Mehndi ceremony was going on before the wedding of Deepak Kumar, son of Tank Road resident. Around 400 people were present at the ceremony with many not wearing masks. The rules of social distance were also not being followed in the ceremony.

The police found the tent owner Naveen there from which the police asked for the documents to organize the ceremony. Naveen could not show any documents to the police. During the investigation, the police came to know that the DDA had allowed the event to be held there on 18 and 19 November.

But there was no booking on 20 November. The tent owner was organizing the event here without any permission. On Saturday, the police have registered a case against Naveen and Deepak Kumar on the complaint of the DDA officer and started an investigation.
