Rajasthan: Now these people will be able to get freehold lease, this bill was passed in the assembly

In urban areas, the old population and people occupied with rights on non-agricultural land will be able to get freehold pattas. For this, the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Monday passed the Rajasthan Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021 by voice vote.

Giving information about this, Minister of Autonomous Government Shanti Kumar Dhariwal presented the bill in the assembly and said that at present there are many people in Rajasthan who are occupied with the old population and non-agricultural land in urban areas but they have their lease. Not there. This bill has been brought with the objective of providing freehold lease to all such persons on surrendering their rights on that land.

This provision is already there in Section 69-A of the Municipal Act. By making some improvements in it, the authorities and the City Improvement Trust are amending the Act. Leasehold in 69-A is being freehold.

Autonomous Governance Minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal said that if any person has a lease issued under any other law or order in which land has been allotted, then a provision has been made to give him a freehold lease after surrendering his rights on that land. Is. Due to this, that lender will be able to use the benefits that a free lender has.
