Rajasthan News: Candidates of a competitive examination will be able to travel free on roadways buses!


Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariwas described the budget 2021-22 presented by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot as a development-oriented budget giving top priority to the common man. He said that the budget presented by the Chief Minister in the Assembly is going to fulfill the dreams of the people of the state.

Minister Khachariwas said that the candidates who appear for the competitive examination will be given free travel in Rajasthan Roadways buses. Transport Minister said that the biggest decision is to start a rural transport bus service. People will get means for movement on every road of the state. Buses will also run on the Rajasthan route on which buses did not run after independence. Also, a provision for exemption of 3 years for motor vehicle tax has been made on the operation of new buses in rural areas.

Minister Khachariwas said that truck operators have been relieved by reducing overloading invoices. Previously, where there was an invoice of 20 thousand rupees per ton, it has now been increased to Rs 5000. Also, there was an invoice of 40 thousand rupees earlier for refusing to be weighed, now it has been reduced to 30 thousand rupees by reducing 30 thousand rupees. There will be no exemption in cases of seat belt violation and driving without a helmet.

Khachariwas said that road safety is the top priority of the state government. Now, those who get injured in a road accident to the state hospital will get an incentive of Rs 5000. Plans are being made to curb Overspeed and overload vehicles on state highways and main roads.
