Preparations to make Rahul Gandhi Congress President begin, the name will be approved in the national convention in January

The Congress has started preparations to make Rahul Gandhi its president. According to the information, the selection process for the post of president will begin in December. In December itself, the proposal will be passed in Rahul's name in the working committee meeting. After this, Rahul's name will be stamped by calling a national convention in January.

The session will also elect 12 members of the new working committee, while the new chairman will have the right to choose another 12 members. According to party sources, preparations are on for the presidential election and this cannot be avoided. At the same time, the pro-Rahul leaders are also convinced that the results of the by-elections in Bihar, and many states should not be associated with the leadership of the organization.

The party has also won elections in many states under Rahul's leadership. Earlier, Sonia Gandhi had offered to step down in a working committee meeting after writing an outspoken and open letter against the leadership of 23 Congress leaders. After much persuasion, she agreed to hold the post of interim president till the next election. Therefore, after the relaxation of the Corona rules, the party wants to call a meeting of the Working Committee and take a decision therein.

A large section within the party is in favor of Rahul Gandhi, but the current Working Committee formed a month ago still includes leaders who wrote letters and lodged their protest. In this case, the working committee meeting will be important. At the same time, if Rahul Gandhi insists on holding elections, then the working committee will declare the election schedule.
