There has been a talk of the One Nation One election in the country for a long time. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again emphasized this and made it a topic of discussion afresh.
Addressing the All India Presiding Officers Conference on the occasion of Constitution Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the One Nation One election as the need of the country. During this, he said that debate on one country one election is very important. This is not only a matter of discussion, but the country also needs it.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that only one voter list should be used for Lok Sabha, Assembly, and other elections. Why are we wasting time and money on these voter lists? Earlier Modi greeted every Indian citizen on Constitution Day.
Significantly, every year 26 November is celebrated as Constitution Day in the country. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India duly adopted the existing Constitution.
