The monsoon session of Parliament is starting from Monday (July 19). Before the monsoon session of Parliament, the Congress has reconstituted the groups of MPs in the Lok Sabha-Rajya Sabha. Parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi has reconstituted her MPs' groups in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Congress has reconstituted groups of MPs to facilitate and ensure the effective functioning of the party in both the Houses of Parliament. At the same time, an important meeting of Congress will be held today before the monsoon session.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi will chair a meeting with the party's Lok Sabha members (MPs) today, a day before the monsoon session of Parliament. Congress party officials said that the meeting will be held through video conferencing. The monsoon session of Parliament is expected to be stormy with opposition parties cornering the central government on issues such as a hike in petrol and diesel prices, alleged corona mismanagement, and vaccine shortage.

All party meetings will be held today

Along with this, an all-party meeting has also been called today at 11 am ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament. According to officials familiar with the matter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the meeting called by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi. Later in the day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has also called an all-party meeting of floor leaders at 4 pm.
