Former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel died at the age of 92. Dr. Akshay Kildar of Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad, told that after a heart attack, he was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state. He breathed his last at 11.55 on Thursday morning.
Took last breath at the age of 92, became chief minister twice
He also had a corona some time ago, but he recovered. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat 2 times. On 30 September, he was re-elected president of the Somnath Temple Trust.
Keshubhai Patel served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 1995 and 1998 to 2001. Keshubhai Patel was elected to the Lok Sabha from Rajkot in 1977 after the Emergency. He later resigned and was the Agriculture Minister in Babubhai Patel's Janata Morcha government from 1978 to 1980. Farmer welfare issues were closest to his heart. As MLA, MP, Minister, and Chief Minister, he took many steps in the interest of farmers.
He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a pracharak in the year 1945. Patel, a six-time member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, left the BJP in 2012 and formed his own political party, the Gujarat Parivartan Party. He won the 2012 state assembly election from Visavadar but later resigned in 2014 due to ill health.

With the death of Keshubhai Patel, the nation lost a great leader. His long public life was devoted to improving the lives of millions, especially in rural areas. He protected the interests of the farmers, he had amazing connections with the people.
