JEE-Mains: accused of giving exam in place of Assam topper arrested in Delhi


Guwahati police have arrested a person who allegedly took the exam in Delhi in exchange for the candidate topping Assam in the JEE-Main examination. Officials said on Sunday that a team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Suprottiv Lal Barua arrested Pradeep Kumar. He is the eighth accused to be arrested in this case.

The main accused in the case, Bhargava Deka, was arrested on November 1. He is the owner of the city's coaching institute 'Global Education Like'. Neel Nakshatra Das, another accused in the case, was also arrested, who topped the exam. He is currently out on bail.
