Delhi Police has given permission to farmer organizations to protest at Jantar Mantar with corona protocol. His protest will last from Thursday to August 9 till the monsoon session of Parliament. Tight security arrangements can be seen here since morning.
Although political, social functions are not allowed during the Corona period, but the police have allowed 200 farmers to participate in this demonstration daily. Police will bring 200 farmers to Jantar Mantar under their supervision. Farmers have got the freedom to protest from 11 am to 5 pm. After 5 o'clock he will return to the Singhu border.
On the other hand, pro-Khalistan Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has appealed to the youth and farmers of Punjab to reach Delhi in large numbers. In view of this, the Delhi Police has divided the New Delhi district into five zones and given the responsibility of ensuring the security of each zone to the Deputy Commissioner level police officer.
Earlier, two rounds of meetings of farmers' organizations with Delhi Police were held regarding the demonstration during the monsoon session. After this, there was an agreement between the two sides on Wednesday. The farmers' organizations have assured the police that they will give the list of all the farmers leaving the Singhu border to the police.
Apart from this, he will not be responsible for the involvement of any other person. During this, the police will take the farmers to Jantar Mantar in their security circle to prevent any kind of disorder.
During the protest at Jantar Mantar, farmers will raise their voices in support of their demands including the repeal of all three agricultural laws of the central government, guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP).
On behalf of the United Kisan Morcha, farmers' organizations have issued a People's Whip to all the MPs and appealed to them to take the matter of the farmers to the Parliament. Farmers will also keep an eye on which party has raised their voice in Parliament.
Corona rules will have to be strictly followed
During the demonstration, the farmers will have to follow all the rules including social distance, sanitization along wearing masks. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has instructed that farmers will be allowed to go in buses only on the fixed route under the purview of the police.
