Corona is still wreaking havoc, for the first time in India, 4200 people died in a day, how many new cases were received?
India is still frightened by the second wave of Coronavirus. The country has seen a decrease in new cases of coronavirus in the past one to two days, but the tension is still being sustained due to the increasing number of deaths. Corona deaths in India have broken all records so far and this is the first time that 4200 people have lost their lives in a single day in the country. New cases of coronavirus infection in India increased to 3.48 lakh and with this, the total cases of infection in the country increased to 2,33,40,428.
According to the Ministry of Health, 3,48,529 new cases of infection were reported in the last 24 hours and the total death toll rose to 2,54,227 after the death of 4200 more people. After two months of continuous growth, the under-treatment cases have come down to 36,99,665, which is 16.16 percent of the total cases of infection, while the rate of recovery of infected people is 82.75 percent.
According to the data, so far 1,93,76,648 people have recovered after being infected, while the death rate is 1.09 percent. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 30,56,00,187 samples were tested till May 10, of which 18,50,110 samples were tested on Monday. Of the 4198 more people who have died in the last 24 hours due to infection, 480 are in Karnataka, 793 in Maharashtra, 347 in Delhi, 301 in Uttar Pradesh, 298 in Tamil Nadu, 214 in Punjab, 199 in Chhattisgarh, 118 in Uttarakhand, 144 people have died in Haryana, 169 in Rajasthan, 132 in West Bengal, 103 in Jharkhand and 118 in Gujarat.
