Congress is not going forward, left for its own sake: Annu Tandon

Unnao's former MP Annu Tandon, who joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Monday, left the Congress's hand and said that the prospects of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh are steadily dwindling. For the development of the people of the region, they decided to join the SP, bypassing the sentiments.

Mrs. Tandon told reporters at the SP headquarters, "I stayed in the Congress for 12-15 years. From the year 2019, I felt that Congress was not moving forward. The current state leadership of the party is incapable. I got full affection from Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former President Rahul Gandhi though did not get much opportunity to work with Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. She has just entered active politics. Decided to work with the SP, bypassing sentiments for his sake. ”He said that only the SP has the ability to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She has been deeply influenced by the functioning of Mr. Akhilesh Yadav during the SP rule and perhaps that is the reason why she got SP membership today.

Former Unnao MP said that only Mr. Akhilesh Yadav can take the state on the path of development. He is happy that under the leadership of Mr. Yadav, he and his supporters will carry forward the ideology of the SP. On this occasion, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that he had realized the popularity of Mr. Tandon while he was the Chief Minister. He has a significant contribution to the development of Unnao and he wholeheartedly welcomes Mr. Tandon to the party.
