Congress fired 24 questions before PM Modi's visit to Assam

In Assam, the Congress on Thursday raised 24 questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on issues like the amended Citizenship Act (CAA) and criticized the government for its failure to expel Bangladeshis living illegally in the state.

The Congress said that Bangladeshi living illegally in the state is a hindrance in the development of the industry. State Congress President Ripun Bora raised questions at a press conference.

Significantly, assembly elections are going to be held in Assam and the Prime Minister is going to visit the state on Saturday. Bora said that by implementing the CAA, the Prime Minister has endangered the existence of the original inhabitants of Assam.
