A complaint has been lodged in the District Additional Sessions Judge MP, MLA court on Friday on the disputed statement of former Union Minister and MP from Sultanpur seat Maneka Gandhi.
In his petition, Rajesh Mishra, a lawyer, and journalist from Sultanpur district said that the MP made a statement in the District and Monitoring Committee meeting held in Dubepur block on August 10 that the city should be freed from complete impunity and the common man should be masked. In the same meeting, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi also said that during the unloading of vehicles in the night of traders, journalists print photos and blackmail the traders. District officials C. Indumati, Superintendent of Police Shiv Hari Meena, and all the officials and media persons were also present in this meeting.
Advocate and journalist Rajesh Mishra, based on this statement of Mrs. Gandhi, filed a petition in various sections including defamation in the Additional Sessions Judge MP, MLA court, which has been accepted by the court.
With the acceptance of this petition, the problems of Mrs. Gandhi are likely to increase. Now the court can order to summon the MP after the statement of the plaintiff. Sultanpur journalist organizations have expressed happiness over this decision of the court.
